Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where women can find support, healing, and personal growth. what we fight for
Community Connection
At the Pink Door Society, we believe in the power of community. We aim to foster a sense of belonging and support among women facing mental health challenges. Through our friendship therapy club, we provide a platform for like-minded individuals to come together, share their experiences, and build meaningful connections.
Creative Expression
Art has a profound impact on mental well-being, allowing individuals to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a non-verbal and therapeutic way. Through our art therapy sessions, pottery classes, and mindful poetry and art workshops, we encourage women to tap into their creative potential and explore their inner world.
Mental Health Advocacy
Raising awareness about mental health issues and supporting initiatives that provide resources and assistance to those in need is at the core of our mission. The Pink Door Society is dedicated to channeling our collective efforts towards fundraising for mental health organizations and initiatives.
WHAT IS: ‘Radical Kindess’?
Radical kindness encompasses acts of compassion and empathy that go beyond the ordinary, creating a transformative impact on individuals and communities. Whether it’s volunteering, paying for a stranger’s coffee, demonstrating active listening, challenging stereotypes, practicing unconditional love and taking care of our neighbors, by extending kindness in these ways, we can brighten someone's day, create lasting change, promote inclusivity, and foster a more compassionate society. Radical Kindness is a core value of Pink Door Society, and is a reminder that our actions, no matter how small, can have a profound effect on others and ourselves.
“NO WOMEN GETS LEFT BEHIND”
At Pink Door Society, we firmly believe in the principle of "No woman gets left behind." We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every woman feels valued, heard, and uplifted. Through our programs and community, we strive to ensure that no woman faces her mental health journey alone.
Together, we stand united, empowering each other to embrace wellness, find strength, and thrive.
Meet Amanda, the passionate founder of Pink Door Society. Having experienced the challenges of mental health and anxiety firsthand, Amanda knows the feelings of loneliness, isolation, and overwhelm all too well. It was through her own journey as a mental health advocate and directing a short film on mental health advocacy at Workman's Art Theater in Toronto that Amanda discovered the power of community. Finally feeling heard, seen, and included, she was inspired to establish Pink Door Society.
Driven by a mission to spread radical kindness and create connections, Amanda founded Pink Door Society to provide women with uplifting and supportive communities for mental health and overall well-being. Through Pink Door Society, women have the opportunity to find their tribe, embrace the healing benefits of art and creative therapies, and navigate their mental health journeys together. With Amanda's leadership, Pink Door Society aims to be a beacon of hope, promoting inclusivity and empowering women to live their lives to the fullest.
“fINDING COMPASSION, COMMUNITY, AND MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT is the foundation of what we do AT PINK DOOR SOCIETY".
We take mental health
seriously.
Mental Health Workshops
These workshops focus on educating women about mental health, providing tools and resources for self-care, and fostering open discussions about mental health challenges. Topics may include stress management, anxiety reduction, building resilience, and promoting overall mental well-being.
Community Therapy Groups
Pottery, Poetry Writing, Painting, Dance Classes: These therapy groups offer a creative outlet for women to express themselves and process their emotions through various art forms. Pottery, poetry writing, painting, and dance classes provide a therapeutic space for self-discovery, healing, and personal growth.
Radical Kindness Project
This initiative involves setting up kindness letters and community boxes in public spaces within the city. People can write anonymous letters of encouragement, support, or gratitude and place them in the community boxes. Individuals in need can then take these letters, fostering a sense of connection, empathy, and support within the community.
BREAKING CHAINS
At Pink Door Society, we acknowledge that women often carry the extra weight of being moms, facing financial stress, and societal pressure to perform. Women also encounter gender discrimination and navigate laws that can prevent their bodily autonomy. These societal pressures can place a heavy mental and emotional burden on women, leaving them with few ways to escape.
That is why we are here. We provide a refuge—a space where women can break free from these burdens, find solace, and receive the support they deserve. In our community, women uplift one another, sharing their experiences and triumphs, offering guidance and understanding. Together, we challenge societal norms, advocate for change, and create a future where women can thrive without the weight of these additional pressures.
Our initiatives are here to help.
Mental Health Workshops
Our mental health workshops for women provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore and enhance their mental wellbeing. Through a variety of interactive sessions, participants can learn valuable coping mechanisms, gain insights into managing stress and anxiety, and develop strategies for self-care. These workshops offer a holistic approach to mental health, addressing various aspects such as emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. By equipping women with the tools and knowledge they need, we empower them to prioritize their mental health and build resilience, fostering a sense of empowerment and overall wellbeing.
Community Therapy Groups
In our community therapy groups, women have the opportunity to engage in mindful activities that promote mental health and wellbeing. Through activities such as pottery and dance, participants can tap into their creativity and express themselves in a nurturing environment. These activities not only provide a therapeutic outlet but also foster a sense of connection and community among participants. By engaging in mindful activities, women can cultivate a sense of calm, reduce stress, and improve their overall mental health. These community therapy groups serve as a powerful space for women to come together, support one another, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Radical Kindess Initiative
Spreading Compassion, Sharing Stories, Inspiring Hearts
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Radical Kindness Stands initiative, starting with our first location in Etobicoke. These stands serve as beacons of love and encouragement, providing a source of support for community members during challenging times. At our stands, you'll find an array of heartfelt letters, carefully crafted with words of kindness and inspiration, waiting to be discovered and taken home. These letters are designed to uplift spirits, offer solace, and remind community members that they are not alone on their journey.
In addition to the letters, the stands also offer a unique book exchange program. Community members are encouraged to drop off mental health, self-help, and wellbeing books that have made a difference in their lives. These books become part of the collection available at the stands for others to explore and borrow. This exchange fosters knowledge-sharing, personal growth, and empathy within the community.
How it works..
CREATING LETTERS OF ENCOURAGMENT
To contribute to the Radical Kindness Stands, community members can create their own letters of love and encouragement. Craft a heartfelt message, inspiring quote, or uplifting note on any topic that resonates with you. Once completed, save your letter as a PDF file and send it to hello.pinkdoorsociety@gmail.com. Your letter will be printed and made available at the stands for others to discover and take home.
Dropping off books and collecting letters
To participate in the book exchange program, community members are invited to drop off mental health, self-help, and wellbeing books that have made a positive impact in their lives. Books can be dropped off at the Radical Kindness Stands during designated hours. In return, feel free to explore the collection of letters and books left by others. Take a moment to find inspiration, gain knowledge, and experience the power of collective support.
Spreading love and radical kindess
By participating in the Radical Kindness Stands initiative, community members contribute to a culture of radical kindness. The acts of picking up a letter, leaving a letter, or exchanging books create a ripple effect of love and empowerment. These small gestures of kindness have the power to spread far and wide, inspiring others to join in and fostering a compassionate and supportive community.
